About
The mission of the Nims Library is to provide up-to-date, quality resources for students and faculty; teach library usage and research skills; promote love of literature and life-long learning; and provide a comfortable and supportive environment for study, reading, research, and quiet social conversation. Welcome!
The Library is named after David A. Nims, an English teacher and department head at Oakmont Regional High School from 1960-1994. Mr. Nims was a valuable mentor to students and teachers alike. His pursuit of excellence set the standard for generations of Oakmont students and served as an inspiration to his colleagues. Mr. Nims' love of literature and writing, and his success in sharing that love with his students and peers set an example for all of us to follow. At the core of Nims Library is the Thomas Anderson Collection, celebrating the life and work of Mr. Anderson, Oakmont librarian from 1996-2011.
